Chris Edwards, CEO, THE THIRD FLOOR & CPO, VRC: The Virtual Reality Company: After 5 years as a layout artist and character animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Chris Edwards joined a team of digital artists at Lucasfilm tasked with previsualizing Star Wars: Episode III from the "third floor" of George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch mansion. In October 2004, Chris spearheaded the founding of THE THIRD FLOOR, Inc. in Los Angeles, which has become the most prolific previs studio in the world; having contributed to hundreds of feature films, such as: Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, Gravity, Maleficent, Mad Max: Fury Road, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, as well as Marvel’s Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Avengers franchises. For over a decade, Chris has worked to expand the art form of previs internationally, and into new markets, including: Television, Video Games and Themed Entertainment.  In 2009, Chris co-founded The Previsualization Society, a non-profit trade association for previs professionals.  And in 2012, he helped launch HYDRA Entertainment, a story development and IP management company. In early 2014, Chris joined an alliance of iconic filmmakers to found VRC: The Virtual Reality Company.  As Chief Production Officer, Chris oversees the production of VRC’s slate of innovative, story-driven VR content.


Imraan Ismail is a writer, director, and visual artist who creates stories for the soul. Imraan is uniquely positioned to follow a project from development all the way through completion, with a traditional understanding of storytelling techniques and ever-evolving VFX methods. Imraan honed his understanding of agency workflow while copywriting and brand-managing at Saachi. In the world of post-production, he helped shape the visual effects for films like The Hunger Games and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. At the heart of Imraan’s work is the desire to capture emotionally resonant human experiences. As a DOP, he brought a heightened level of cinematic consideration to Waves of Grace and will release an arsenal of captivating content as a Creator these upcoming months.


Jacqueline Bošnjak, CEO, Q Department & Mach1™: A South African born, American Hyphenate. CEO of Q Department music studio, which she runs with, composer Drazen Bošnjak. In 2015 they co-founded Mach1™ A Sound Technology Company that specializes in sound based orientation and presence for Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality. Q Department | Mach1™ credits, which feature both their craft and Mach1™ technology, include amongst others: The MartianVR, a 25 minute experience, directed by Robert Stromberg, Ridley Scott for 20TH Century Fox, RSA and The Virtual Realty Company, Catatonic directed by Guy Shelmerdine VRSE, Take Flight NYTVR and upcoming Oculus Story Studios third VR film Dear Angelica directed by Saschka Unseld. Bošnjak also founded MadWomenVR, part of a larger movement, to get more women involved in VR.


Ryan Horrigan, Chief Content Officer, Felix & Paul Studios: In his role as Chief Content Officer within Felix & Paul Studios, Ryan oversees content development, strategy and partnerships for the VR studio. As a senior development and production executive at New Regency prior, he worked on groundbreaking films such as “12 Years a Slave”, “Noah” and the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed” and “A Cure for Wellness”. Ryan began his career in the entertainment business in CAA’s motion picture department, later moving to Paramount Pictures.


Eric W. Shamlin, Managing Director / Executive Producer, Secret Location: Eric is an Emmy and Cannes Lion award-winning storyteller with 20 years of experience across multiple creative industries; film, television, visual effects, advertising and digital.  Now with an emphasis on virtual reality.  Eric is Vice President, Managing Director and Executive Producer of Secret Location’s US office. Secret Location is a content studio for emerging platforms. They were among the first companies to pioneer storytelling in this new medium and were recently honored with the first ever Emmy given to a VR experience. Secret Location is currently developing a slate of traditional television content, VR games, VR cinematic experiences and several digital platforms. Secret Location has offices in Los Angeles and Toronto. They are represented by UTA and VRSE.


Ted Schilowitz, Futurist and VR explorer, 20th Century FOX: Ted was founding member, first employee, and integral part of the product development team at RED Digital Cinema, that has made a significant impact on the Motion Picture Industry, with many of the worlds biggest movies now being shot with these ultra high resolution digital movie cameras.   Ted currently spends his time in 2 blended worlds;  a major Hollywood movie studio and a major technology  company in the Digital Cinema projection world.  He has a studio deal at 20th Century Fox as their “Futurist”, working directly with senior leadership at the studio on the constantly evolving art and science  of advanced motion picture creation.  He advises and creates strategy on future technology and vision of cinema for the next generation of movie entertainment.  He has a unique role at Barco, the worlds marketshare leader in Digital Cinema projection, as their “CinemaVangelist” spearheading a project that is focused on the future of the cinema experience. Ted is one of the founders and creators of the G-Tech product line of advanced hard drive storage products, that are implemented worldwide for professional Television and Multimedia content creation, and are the most recognized brand in the space. Before being part of the founding teams at RED Digital Cinema and G-Tech, Ted was on the team that developed and launched the Macintosh products desktop video division of AJA Video Systems, that created the groundbreaking Kona Cards and IO boxes.  These products are used on a massive scale worldwide for video production and post production at the highest levels, including some of the worlds biggest movies, TV shows and sporting events. Ted has presented on the future of technology and strategy for the media and entertainment industry in many regions of the USA, Europe, China, India, the Middle East, and the Far East.  He has consulted worldwide on the technical advances of ultra high resolution digital cinematography and future of advanced next gen. visual experiences for the movie, TV, interactive and gaming industries. Schilowitz has been featured in Wired, Variety, NY Times, Wall Street Journal, The Hollywood Reporter, NBC, Studio Daily, Videography, Film and Video, DV magazine, TV Technology, HD Video Pro Magazine, Digital Television Magazine, Engadget, Gizmodo, Millimeter, American Cinematographer, MacWorld, Post magazine, Popular Science, LA Times and countless other trade publications and mainstream press, discussing technology advancements in his areas of passion and exploration


Seth Shapiro, Governor, Interactive Media, The Television Academy: Two-time Emmy® Award winner Seth Shapiro is a leading advisor in business innovation, media and technology worldwide. He has worked with  clients including The Walt Disney Company, Comcast, DIRECTV, Intel, IPG, NBC, Showtime, RTL, Telstra, Universal, Slamdance Studios, Goldman Sachs, government bodies, NGOs and a wide range of new ventures. Shapiro is an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He is a Governor of the Television Academy, and sits on its Executive Committee.  Shapiro has served as a frequent Expert Witness, including before the FCC, and has been quoted in publications including The Economist, The New York Times. The LA Times, The Boston Globe, Bloomberg, The Associated Press, PBS and The Daily Mail UK. As Head of Production at DIRECTV Advanced Services, he launched over 25 services, including TiVo by DIRECTV, the world’s first major DVR platform. His book “Television: Innovation, Disruption, and the World’s Most Powerful Medium” will be released in June of 2016. Shapiro sits on the Annenberg Research Council and the Producer Guild's New Media Council. He is a Magna cum Laude graduate of New York University and was Adelbert Alumni Scholar at Case Western Reserve University.
