Sun Jen Yung, Managing Director, Headwaters MB: Sun Jen Yung, Managing Director, joined Headwaters from Nightwood Capital LLC, a middle-market boutique advisory firm that she founded in 2009. Sun focuses on Digital Media & Internet and Media Growth companies. Her experience of 20 years in investment banking includes corporate finance coverage of Media (cable and entertainment), Digital Media, Internet and Software companies at Oppenheimer, Deutsche Bank , Lehman Brothers and J.P. Morgan. Sun also has  experience in Equity Research at Lehman Brothers. She has completed over $38 billion in public (IPOs and follow-ons) and private equity, equity-linked and debt financings and M&A transactions. Sun serves on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Greenwich (CT). She received B.A. degrees in Economics and International Studies at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and an M.B.A. of Finance from Columbia Business School in New York.


Karen Tenkhoff, Creative Producer/Executive: Karen is a film producer and executive with numerous feature credits to her name—in both live action and animation.  She served for over a decade as senior executive and producing partner to Academy Award-winning director Robert Redford at his company, Wildwood.  Among her many credits, she served as a Producer on THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES, which received a Golden Globe Nomination for Best Foreign Film and won the British Academy Award for Best Foreign Film; as Executive Producer on THE CLEARING and THE LEGEND OF BAGGER VANCE and Associate Producer on THE HORSE WHISPERER which received a Golden Globe Nomination for Best Picture. Pixar co-founders John Lasseter and Ed Catmull turned to her storytelling expertise to help them build Disney Feature Animation’s development slate.  She served has the senior development executive on WINNIE THE POOH, TANGLED, the Academy Award-nominated WRECK-IT RALPH and the Academy Award-winning hit FROZEN (which surpassed the $1 billion dollar mark at the global box office), the Academy-Award winning BIG HERO 6 and the recent global hit, ZOOTOPIA.


Shannon Keenan Demers, SVP of Production and Creative, Tremendous! Entertainment: Kennan Demers has served as Executive Producer of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern (Travel Channel) since 2012 and is also an Executive Producer for all of Tremendous Entertainment’s innovative reality series including Ghost Asylum (Destination America), For Peete’s Sake (OWN) and Rock the Park (The CW). With more than 23 years of experience in the entertainment and television industry, Jane Durkee oversees all operations and business aspects of the company.  She works closely on new show development as well as the company’s strategic initiatives.  As COO, she manages all operations of the business.  Durkee joined Tremendous! in 1999 and after a variety of production assignments she took over the Sales and Distribution department.  Her credits include hundreds of hours of programming from shows like “Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern” (Travel Channel) and programming for Destination America, VH1, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, TLC, Hallmark Channel and National Geographic.


Laverne McKinnon is Head of Television for Charlize Theron’s Denver & Delilah Films, where she is also Executive Producer of the Netflix series GIRLBOSS, premiering in 2017. She has over 20 years of successful programming experience in premium cable, broadcast network and digital platforms including Senior Vice-President of Drama at CBS and Executive Vice-President of Original Programming at EPIX. Her work has encompassed scripted comedy and drama series, documentaries, web series, animation, music events, comedy specials and children’s programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Radio-TV-Film from Northwestern University and a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Ms. McKinnon is also an Adjunct Lecturer for Northwestern University’s MS Leadership in Creative Enterprises program and holds certifications as an executive & life coach and as a grief counselor.


Amy Kim is the Co-Founder and President of Lifeboat Productions, a full-service production company that develops unique, high-quality and narrative-driven content - from conception to project completion - independent of budget or platform.  Prior to launching Lifeboat Productions, Kim served as Head of Production at Michael Eisner’s digital studio, Vuguru where she produced original scripted content for various distribution partners such as Hulu, AOL and Yahoo!. Previously, she was Director of Production at Nickelodeon where she supported various channels (Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nick@Nite, TV Land) across development, current and on-air.  Since launching Lifeboat Productions in 2012, Kim, along with co-founder Jaime Burke, has worked on film, television, interactive and commercial projects including Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, Half Life, The Pact, Teachers, Chosen, Sequestered, Quantum Break, UBISOFT Watch Dogs, Audi and #CokeRED while collaborating with companies such as Sony Crackle, Netflix, Fullscreen,


Karen Bailey is Senior Vice President of Original Programming for Starz. Based in the company’s Beverly Hills office, Bailey oversees new development and current productions including STARZ Original series “Outlander,” now in production on its second season, as well as the sequel to the limited series “The Missing” with BBC1. Bailey served most recently as Vice President of Original Programming, and oversaw the network’s original series “Magic City” as well as the Golden Globe®-nominated mini-series “The White Queen.” She also served as the network executive on Golden Globe and Emmy®-nominated limited series, “The Missing” as well as the STARZ Original Filmmaking Experiment “The Chair,” winner of the TCA award for best unscripted series and the DGA award for best directing. Bailey joined STARZ in 2006 as a feature producer, overseeing development, production and post-production for the company’s studio slate of television movies and mini-series for external networks, including SyFy, Lifetime and IFC. Bailey also served as Executive Producer on a number of projects for Starz’s home entertainment division, Anchor Bay films. In 2007 she was promoted to Vice President of Production, and transitioned into overseeing physical production for the company’s newly launched original programming department. Bailey spent the next few years building the internal production department and focusing on the networks new slate of original series, including “Party Down,” “Crash,” “Boss” and “Spartacus.” During her tenure in this position, the company increased its efforts to expand production into the global community, resulting in successful partnerships with production entities in New Zealand, Canada and United Kingdom. A North Carolina native, Karen, her husband Palmer and a few four-legged family members call Burbank, Calif. home.


Dannielle Dormer, Executive Producer, Physical Production, Ignition: Over the last decade, Dannielle has developed her niche by artfully producing rich, co-branded content that captures audiences in new ways and builds authentic company-to-consumer connections. Her ability to dream up and deliver unique brand collaborations is, essentially, remolding content marketing within the entertainment industry. This, alongside her notable brand experience, has enabled her to quickly climb the ranks at leading digital entertainment agency, Ignition. Here she has the integral role of Executive Producer of Physical Production, overseeing all aspects of live-action and commercial production. Dannielle is actively diversifying what production means to Ignition’s clients. By following her foresight for the industry’s future and demonstrating new tactics' success by partnering with clients to produce award-winning work, Dannielle is considered a thought leader in this space. Noteworthy work includes ESPN’s 2016 NBA Finals co-branded campaign with Samsung, as well as co-branded spots with ESPN involving a widely successful TV promotion for the film Alice Through the Looking Glass, and the branded content piece The Netflix Watch for Netflix, which garnered more than 350,000 views on YouTube and over 60 articles on news sources, such as, NBC, USA Today, TIME and the Wall Street Journal.
