Jen Garcia Allen joined Whalerock Industries in July 2015 as the Executive Editor of the Kardashian/Jenner Apps.  In her first eight months, Jen successfully launched the official apps of Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner—as well as the Kimoji app. A respected entertainment journalist, Jen spent more than a decade at PEOPLE and Us Weekly.  At Whalerock Industries, she collaborates with the Kardashian and Jenner women to develop and execute their distinct creative visions.  Jen’s work has resulted in highly engaging editorial content for the groundbreaking platforms—apps and websites—where each woman shares her passions, current obsessions, personal diaries, original videos, signature styles, breaking news announcements, and milestone moments.  The apps enable the women to connect directly with fans through live streaming. Under Jen’s leadership, the apps for Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner were the top-ranked entertainment apps in the app store (1 through 4, respectively) when they launched in September 2015.  Jen’s stewardship also ensured that Kourtney Kardashian’s app was one of the top entertainment apps when it launched in December 2015.  All five apps continue to dominate the charts worldwide.  Upon its release in December 2015, the Kimoji app was the top selling app in 120 countries, and it continues to rank among the best-selling apps in the world. Jen has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The University of Delaware.  She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two daughters.


Caroline Wilson is the Senior Director of Creative Integration at Initiative, where she and her team are responsible for delivering unique creative media experiences and innovative solutions to clients. She engages with a wide variety of partners to bring forth new ideas, new models and new ways to interact with brands. Prior to joining Initiative, Caroline served as Creative Experiences Director for Microsoft Advertising, where she developed new advertising and content experiences for Fortune 500 brands across Microsoft platforms, including Windows, Xbox and Skype. Caroline’s previous roles also included Director at Edelman / Matter, where she implemented custom media initiatives for Clorox, Davie Brown Entertainment, where she produced Film, TV and Digital integrations and sponsorships for HP, and she cut her teeth in Hollywood working at the William Morris talent agency and representing numerous top Fortune 500 brands in entertainment. When not dreaming up the next great creative experience for her clients, Caroline enjoys family road trips, creating music with her husband and two small daughters, watching the latest crazy cat video, and she hasn’t met a bowl of queso she doesn’t love.


Jordan K. Yospe is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Entertainment, Media & The Arts Department. Jordan is recognized as one of the country’s leading brand integration experts and an authority in sourcing, negotiating, and managing brand integration deals for feature films, television, new media, music, and video games. Jordan brings significant experience as both an entertainment lawyer and as a feature film and television producer in negotiating and drafting multimillion dollar integration and activation agreements, as well as executing the business and creative elements of those agreements during pre-production, principal photography, post-production, and domestic/international distribution. Jordan was named to Variety’s Annual Dealmakers Impact Report List in 2011 and named multiple times to The Hollywood Reporter’s annual “Power Lawyers” List; named among the “Top 40 Entertainment Lawyers” by The Los Angeles Business Journal in October, 2010; and his pioneering work on the integration of brands into entertainment was featured in a front page article in the April 5, 2010 issue of The New York Times.  When describing Jordan’s work to The Hollywood Reporter, Eric Baum, Sony Pictures Senior VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Consumer and Worldwide Marketing, states “Jordan has earned the trust of those not just in Hollywood, but all the way out in places like Peoria and Georgia.  They rely on his expertise and hard work to keep the integrity of their brands.”  Jordan’s mission is to make these “integrations” live up to the brands’, producers’, and distributors’ expectations in today’s rapidly changing commercial environment.


Glenn Sanders, Creative Director, eclipse: As a Creative Director, Glenn has created campaigns for major entertainment brands and heavily focused on content creation.  He's currently Eclipse's Executive Creative Director, formerly Trailer Park's Group Creative Director, and was a freelance Creative Director at several other agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Blitz, BLT, Digital Kitchen, and Deutsch.  At TBWA\Chiat\Day, Glenn was an Associate Creative Director/Digital Associate Creative Director. Glenn wrote and directed a series of "Back to the Future" 30th Anniversary content pieces that starred Christopher Lloyd as "Doc Brown" (achieving over 50m views online, included in the Blu-Ray, and shown in movie theaters nationwide) Additionally, Glenn wrote and directed Liam Neeson for the "Taken 3" in the Linkedin social campaign entitled, "Particular Set of Skills."  This campaign won "Best in Show" at the 2015 Clio Key Art Awards. Glenn wrote the "Deadpool" April Fool's video content, in which the character kills Mario Lopez while being interviewed on "Access Hollywood."   While at Trailer Park, Glenn also oversaw the "Jurassic World" digital & social campaign in its entirety. He also spearheaded the launch of the Nissan LEAF, which was the first mass-produced 100% electric car and directed Robert Downey Jr's VO sessions. During his traditional advertising days, Glenn created the first-ever iAd, in direct collaboration with Steve Jobs and Lee Clow.


Zach Blume, Managing Director, Portal A: Zach Blume is the Managing Partner of Portal A, an award-winning content studio that develops, produces, and distributes video entertainment for the digital generation. Portal A is independently owned and operated, with a team of 30 staff in its San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. Portal A works with the top global brands in the U.S., including YouTube, Google, Lenovo, NBC Universal and Universal Pictures, as well as creating independent, original projects for multi-platform distribution. Portal A’s work has been seen nearly a billion times, and the company is widely known for the critically acclaimed annual YouTube Rewind video. Blume is responsible for overall business strategy, growth, and client and partner relations. Before founding Portal A with partners Nate Houghteling and Kai Hasson, Blume directed political, nonprofit and corporate communications campaigns nationally. Blume grew up in Berkeley, CA (with Nate and Kai), is a Phi Beta Kappa and Honors alumnus of the University of Oregon and is a Fellow of the Coro Center for Civic Leadership. He is also a huge basketball fan and a political junkie, both of which come in handy at work.


James Shani, Founder & CEO, SAV Studios, Digital content, storytelling and next-gen leadership expert James Shani, 27, founded SAV Studios in 2015 to provide branded and original content to agencies and brands seeking a better and more efficient way to create and distribute content that resonates. His LA-based startup, which has offices in New York and San Francisco, has created viral and award-winning campaigns while amassing an impressive roster that includes Tesla, Gatorade, Vizio and Google. A California native, James earned a bachelor’s degree in business strategy and film production from the University of Southern California. He is currently a guest lecturer at USC and colleges around the country, and is an angel investor in startups at the intersection of tech, media and entertainment.


Ben Mendelson, co-founder and president, Interactive Television Alliance: the primary trade association representing the broad interests of the ITV industry. Ben has been an innovator in sponsor-based programming and has been involved in New Media technology from its earliest days. He was the founding executive of various early on-line companies (Interactive Center, Internet Imaging, Internet Outfitters), head of the Internet division of a magazine publishing company (Curtco Freedom), VP of Internet Development for the Electronic Retailing Assoc. (ERA), and SVP of Business Strategies at an investment bank (Winterberry Group). Before his involvement with Interactive technologies, Ben was primarily involved in the art world. From 1981 - 1991, he owned and operated LA Art Photographers Assoc. (LAPA), an art gallery and resource center for fine art photography. In 1992, he founded PhotoSource- a gallery and resource center for high quality digital imaging. His interest in facilitating the creative process has been a guiding influence, whether from the art community or from the business community. __In 2002, Ben co-founded 2degree Partners with his business partner, Allison Dollar. 2DP manages the ITV Alliance and provides business strategies that include Direct Response TV, ITV, and cross-media marketing. Ben has taught at the American Film Institute (AFI), UCLA Extension, and the So. CA Institute of Architecture (SCIArch) and has been published in numerous magazines and trade journals. He is on the advisory board of the AFI Enhanced TV Program, the exec. committee of the IMPG at the Television Academy, and is a familiar speaker at many Technology, Marketing and Media conferences.
