Jeffrey G. Weber is CEO of ZoneTV, the leader in bridging the world of OTT with the world of PayTV.  ZoneTV works with some of the largest operators in the world to deliver the best digital first content packaged as television channels for the Pay TV eco system.  ZoneTV enhances the Pay TV experience for audiences by delivering an advanced viewing experience through its proprietary user interface that combines linear and on-demand with personalized viewing.  This dynamic TV experience is being welcomed by viewers and ZoneTV is committed to positioning itself as an essential advanced TV partner for Pay TV operators. Prior to ZoneTV Weber was Principal at 2Door Partners, a consulting firm focusing on the interaction between TV, advertising, content, data and broadband. He was formerly President, Content & Advertising at AT&T, where he was responsible for all content acquisition, including U-verse TV, wireless and broadband. In addition he was responsible for the advertising business across TV, mobile, broadband and data. Prior to that, as Vice President, Video Products, he was responsible for video, including TV, multi-screen initiatives and applications. Responsibilities included defining and bringing to market the Internet access product line, the programming made available to customers, the electronic program guide (EPG), video on demand (VOD), mobile and broadband content delivery, gaming and other interactive applications. He was also responsible for product development and strategy for the above areas.  Mr. Weber led the initial corporate strategy effort that resulted in the deployment and ultimate success of U-verse at AT&T before moving into the product role. He has been an integral player with U-verse since its launch in 2006, and has seen the business grow from no revenue or customers to over 5M TV subscribers and $12B+ annual run rate on the platform.  In addition to driving growth on U-verse and advertising, he was instrumental growing the internet business at SBC in an operations role, and launched and grew the second PCS market in the US during his time at Sprint PCS.  Mr. Weber joined then Southwestern Bell in 1986 and held a number of jobs, including stops in IT, sales, strategy, network operations, communications, product and marketing, while working on TV, data, wireless, voice and entertainment.  Mr. Weber is a native of Norman, Oklahoma. He received an MIS degree from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. Mr. Weber and his wife, Lesa, have two children, Allie and Parker.

 

Xavier Kochhar is the CEO of Structured Data Intelligence (SDI), a company whose mission is deeply rooted in the belief that the world's data should be accessible for all to use. The company is behind the Video Genome Project (VGP), which has successfully mapped (catalogued, categorized, analyzed) the hundreds and hundreds of elements (metadata) within 7.5 million+ records of professionally produced video content-film, television shows, and series, and online video. The VGP is the largest, broadest and most granular structured database of video content in the industry. The VGP and the underlying SDI structuring technology have had massive implications not only for video content curation tools (such as search, recommendation, and personalization), but also for developers, publishers, content providers, marketers, and users all over the world who utilize any form of video content. Additionally, SDI's Insights division provides analytical lens tools which it layers on top of its structured databases so that its customers can glean actionable insights relating to video content that are used to drive business decisions. Prior to SDI, Mr. Kochhar was Managing Partner of MediaLink, a strategic advisory firm operating at the intersection of the media, advertising, and technology communities. In this role, he managed and executed upon the strategic planning and business science advisory services for the company and guided clients across of number of practice areas including digital strategy, strategic partnerships, marketing communications, media reviews, organizational management and restructuring, and revenue development. As one of the early executives and part of the original leadership team at MediaLink, Mr. Kochhar helped to build the firm into the media and advertising industry's preeminent strategy and implementation firm. His clients included many top Fortune 100 advertisers, digital media and entertainment companies and publishers, as well as dozens of the fastest growing VC-backed start-ups in both Silicon Valley and Silicon Beach, including many of today's top online video studios and distribution platforms. Mr. Kochhar also worked closely with premium venture capital and private equity firms as they sourced and analyzed deals in the media, ad-tech, and content sectors. Mr. Kochhar joined MediaLink from The Walt Disney Company, where he served as one of three corporate executives within Disney©'s Corporate Alliances group dedicated solely to the procuring and developing of new, mutually value-creating strategic relationships between outside corporations and the myriad assets across all the divisions of The Walt Disney Company. By sitting in Corporate atop Disney, his role had an ability to and necessitated the pulling of resources from the respective divisions within the company Studios, Theme Parks, Consumer Products, and Media Networks (ABC, ESPN, and the various Disney cable assets) in order to work with third-party B-to-B and consumer brand companies in various aspects of strategic and/or tactical relationships. These relationships included marketing, media buys, sponsorships, promotional activity, purchasing, corporate development, joint or integrated content opportunities, or co-branded JVs. Before Disney, Mr. Kochhar was a corporate packaging agent at the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills, the largest and most prestigious talent agency representing the entertainment industry's top creatives and content producers; and a partner for an entertainment marketing company, which extends the brands of top consumer and retail companies into the world of media by identifying and/or generating integrated marketing opportunities based on or around top entertainment properties and franchises. Mr. Kochhar was also a strategy consultant in the Media and Entertainment group for London-based L.E.K. Consulting. He began his professional career in corporate finance, after graduating from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business, working as investment banker for Tucker Anthony Sutro, where his focus was mergers, acquisitions, and private placements of emerging growth and middle market companies.

 

Miles Dinsmoor, Co-Founder/Partner, modop: Prior to co-founding Modus Operandi, Miles Dinsmoor was a founding partner in two boutique strategic design, branding and promotion studios: BIGSMACKtv and Concrete Pictures, where he oversaw all aspects of production, managed multiple creative teams, and helped execute ground-breaking and imaginative campaigns for high-profile entertainment industry clients like ESPN, CBS, HBO, Discovery Communications, DIRECTV, Comcast, and USA Network. Before launching Concrete, Dinsmoor was a producer at 3 Ring Circus, where he produced 15 futuristic ads that appeared within the Steven Spielberg film Minority Report, making a cameo appearance as “Guinness Man” in one of them (his disembodied head, floating in a pint glass, recommends a Guinness to the fugitive Tom Cruise as he runs past, fleeing the police). These ads included brands such as Lexus, American Express, Reebok and Pepsi, as well a PSA explaining the back-story of Tom Cruise’s “Precrime” Division. Dinsmoor began his career at Warner Bros Television, where he worked on a variety of series, including the launch of both Friends and E.R. Later he moved to the creative agency side with the branding powerhouse Pittard/Sullivan. A graduate of Goucher College, Dinsmoor also studied History and English Literature at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom on a prestigious Leslie Nelson Savage Mahoney Scholarship. He is married with one young son whom he adores, and who seems to be on a mission to visit every aquarium and zoo within the borders of the continental US

 

Greg Morrow, Senior Vice President, Digital, Sports & Entertainment, TEN: The Enthusiast Network: Greg Morrow brings more than 15 years of Internet media, product innovation, and digital operating experience to TEN’s Sports & Entertainment division, formerly GrindMedia, the largest action and adventure sports media company in the world. Mr. Morrow joined the company in October 2010 when TEN acquired Grind Networks, the company he led and founded in 2005. Grind Networks digital properties and expertise were combined with the iconic action sports brands including SURFER, POWDER, and SKATEBOARDER. TEN’s Sports & Entertainment division has become the only action and adventure sports media platform that delivers both reach and authenticity for our strategic partners and advertisers with more than 30 million active and engaged digital consumers monthly. Its flagship property GrindTV.com is the official action and adventure sports partner of Yahoo! Prior to founding Grind Networks, Morrow served as General Manager of the Yahoo! Music International properties. During this post, he defined and managed Yahoo!'s international music strategy and worked closely with local Yahoo! country divisions, record labels, and international affiliates to create, build, and market new local product offerings. In a short, 18-month span, Morrow piloted the release of Yahoo! Music into nine different countries. Shortly thereafter, Yahoo! Music became one of the top three most trafficked sites in six of those respective nations. Prior to his station as GM of Yahoo! Music International, Morrow served as Director of Product Strategy and Marketing for the Yahoo! Music domestic site. Under his guidance, Yahoo! Music evolved into the Internet's largest global entertainment destination with 40 million+ unique users and more than 250 million+ video views per month. Prior to LAUNCH Media's acquisition by Yahoo!, Greg served as LAUNCH's Vice President/Executive Producer, managing the company's Internet business unit.

 

Jonathan Hurd, Director, Altman Vilandrie & Company: Jonathan Hurd joined Altman Vilandrie & Company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience in communications, media and related technology sectors. Jonathan's primary areas of expertise include business and marketing strategy, new business creation and launch, integrated consumer and business services, and customer and sales channel segmentation and targeting. Jonathan's experience in the IPTV realm includes customer targeting, partner evaluation, demand modeling, and business case development. With unique insight into competitive trends and consumer perceptions about content and communications services, Jonathan works with clients to develop differentiated video strategies. Jonathan's extensive marketing background enables him to recommend product and marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences as IP-delivered video moves towards broad adoption. Prior to joining Altman Vilandrie & Company, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS. Before that, he was a Partner in the Communication, Information and Entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for a computer peripherals manufacturer, and has held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation. In addition, he has served as a software development product manager in industries including financial services, computer peripherals, video game development and management consulting. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Judy Johnson, Director of UX & Product Innovation, AWE Division, Bottle Rocket:  Judy Johnson is an 15+ year veteran of Product Management and Technology.  Since joining Bottle Rocket, she has lead the AWE, TV Everywhere division to the successful launch of over 20 apps for brands including NBCUniversal, Scripps Networks and A+E Networks. The work she has lead has been featured in an Apple Keynote as well as a recent Google I/O announcement.  Prior to joining Bottle Rocket, Johnson lead product management for several large corporations including Sony, NEC and IBM.  Her areas of expertise include global product roadmap development, mobile and business strategy planning as well as team management.
