David Cutbill, US Advisory Media & Entertainment Leader, Deloitte & Touche LLP: David leads the US Advisory Media and Entertainment practice for Deloitte & Touche LLP. He has worked in the media and entertainment industry for more than 25 years in both Europe and the United States. His experience includes external and internal audits, financial and operational consulting, acquisition due diligence, and public offerings. David has worked with all of the major studios, film producers and distributors, cable and broadcasters, music labels, interactive games, and new media.

Paul Canetti is the Founder and CEO of MAZ, whose publishing tools have powered over one thousand apps for companies like Forbes, USA Today, and Pearson. As a skilled user experience and interface designer who previously worked at Apple and Condé Nast, Paul's continued focus is at the intersection of technology and media. He was named one of Inc.'s 30 Under 30 World’s Coolest Young Entrepreneurs and has designed products used by millions of people. He also teaches at General Assembly and regularly advises Fortune 500 companies such as Walmart, Unilever, and American Express, on mobile strategy, user experience, and entrepreneurial thinking.

 

Jamie Elden, Chief Revenue Officer, Federated Media: Based in New York City, Elden has 15+ years of experience building advertising solutions and programs for major U.S. brands and producing notable branded entertainment television programs. As Chief Revenue Officer of Federated Media, Elden oversees national sales efforts and develops innovative digital advertising products for the digital portfolio of Media General, a connected-screen media company. The business currently includes Federated Media - the voice of American lifestyle, HYFN a social tools and tech shop, BiteSizeTV - an LA-based broadcast studio, Dedicated Media - a performance marketing company, and One Mobile - the preeminent integrated mobile solution. He previously served as the SVP of Digital & Branded Entertainment for Alloy Media, where he built the strategic development of Alloy’s Digital Network & Content division, spearheading the movement to bring brands such as Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars print readership to online and beyond, making it a number one comScore network. Elden also served as the head of UEG Studios, a joint venture with United Talent Agency (UTA) of Hollywood, overseeing content development for both brands and talents. Within these roles, he developed some of the first credited and successful video, web, and mobile executions in partnership with brands such as LG Mobile, Fox, P&G, Walmart, and more. His expertise and experience with video, content, and digital brand entertainment has been widely recognized by the industry, enabling him to share his insights at leading national conferences. Elden has been featured in publications such as AdWeek, Advertising Age, Business Week, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and MediaPost for his work in the digital space.

 

Dave Baldwin, EVP, Program Planning, Starz: Baldwin is based in the company's New York City office where he is responsible for all programming planning and research responsibilities in support of the company's 17 linear channels and associated on-demand and online services. Baldwin came to Starz Entertainment after serving 31 years in research and scheduling at Home Box Office, most recently as Executive Vice President of Program Planning. Baldwin was responsible for creating strategies and producing the program schedules for the 15 HBO and Cinemax multichannel networks, inventory management of all video assets and creation of monthly menus for HBO and Cinemax On Demand, and the HBO mobile wireless platform internationally. Tony Goncalves is senior vice president, Strategy and Business Development for AT&T Entertainment and Internet Services (AEIS). Given the rapidly evolving marketplace, he is charged with identifying and assessing opportunities to expand the company’s business portfolio including new content models and market segments that take advantage of the broad AT&T portfolio and scale. He oversees the AEIS Capital portfolio and planning function ensuring capital investments are balanced against AEIS long term strategy and near term business needs.  In addition, he serves as the executive overseeing the AT&T joint venture with the Chernin Group in Otter Media. Goncalves previously served as senior vice president of Digital Entertainment Products Group for DIRECTV, where he led the company’s product strategy, digital innovation, ventures investments and product management for mobile and broadband delivered video services. He was the company thought leader on TVEverywhere and over the top (OTT) video. Under his leadership, the DIRECTV TV Everywhere product portfolio was recognized for having the best TV app and web portal in 2014 and won a Webby award, along with an Emmy nomination to the NFLSunday Ticket experience. Prior to this role, Goncalves was senior vice president of Product Management. In that role, he oversaw the company’s $4B portfolio of revenue-generating services including NFL SUNDAY TICKET™, paid premium networks, pay per view movies and events, Whole-Home DVR and HD services. As a collaborator with DIRECTV’s development teams in creating a strategic roadmap for the company’s new products and services, he was engaged in the development of DIRECTV’s industry-leading DVR (Genie). He joined DIRECTV in 2007 as vice president, National Accounts and subsequently led various channels of distribution. Goncalves was a key player in securing the partnership with AT&T and led the team that closed partnerships with CenturyLink and Frontier Communications, giving DIRECTV a leadership position in this distribution channel with more than 90 percent coverage from U.S. Telcos. Prior to DIRECTV, Goncalves served as vice president of Business Development and Strategic Marketing for HUMAX USA, a global OEM consumer electronics manufacturer. He led the launch of the company in the U.S., securing development and manufacturing agreements with brands such as DIRECTV, Sirius Satellite Radio, Thomson and TiVo, driving the company to a record $300 million in revenue within three years of launch. Goncalves holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., where he serves on the Hagan School of Business Advisory Board and was named one of Dealerscope's "Top 40 under 40 in the CE Industry" in 2004. He is a member of the CommonSense Media NY Advisory Council, a nonprofit dedicated to helping kids thrive in a world of media and technology. Goncalves is based in AEIS's New York office.

 

Don Wilcox, Vice President, PBS Digital:  PBS has announced that entertainment industry and digital media veteran Don Wilcox has been named Vice President, Digital Marketing and Services. He will report to Ira Rubenstein, Senior Vice President and GM, PBS Digital.  In this role, Wilcox will oversee PBS.org and PBS Digital Studios, and will develop programs to help PBS stations strengthen membership at the local level. In addition, working closely with colleagues at PBS and at member stations, he will leverage emerging digital channels and platforms to promote PBS content.  “Don’s expertise in developing cutting-edge digital marketing experiences for a wide range of audiences makes him an outstanding fit for PBS,” said Rubenstein. “PBS and local member stations have been innovators using the power of media to educate and entertain for 45 years. With Don’s help, we will maximize the opportunities provided by this evolving media landscape to attract and engage audiences.”  Wilcox brings more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of television and digital media to this role. Most recently, he served as an advisor to entertainment, media and agency clients. As Vice President & General Manager of Branded Entertainment at FOX Broadcasting Company, he oversaw the operations and strategy of FOX.com, AmericanIdol.com and TheXFactorUSA.com, including groundbreaking social media initiatives and integrated cross-platform sponsorships. Prior to joining FOX, Wilcox was Executive Director, Marketing and Client Services at Sony Pictures Interactive, where he spearheaded online and mobile marketing and promotions for the full slate of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s television shows. He has also held digital leadership positions at ABC, NBC and Microsoft.  “With the PBS audience growing dramatically, both digitally and on-air, this truly is an exciting time to join the team,” said Wilcox. “I’m looking forward to helping PBS and member stations find creative ways to reach even more viewers with content audiences love and trust.”
