Scott R. Singer, Managing Director, DDG: Scott is a business development, sales, and innovation specialist focused on identifying and implementing new revenue streams in digital media and mobile communications. He is a trusted advisor to c-suite executives and boards of directors having executed over $110 billion of strategic and financial advisory engagements for such clients as Cablevision Systems, CBS, Charter, Comcast, Discovery Communications, Liberty Media, NBC Universal, News Corp., Publicis Modem, Time Warner, Viacom, and Y&R as well as many private equity and venture capital firms.  Most recently, Scott was Vice President of Business Innovation for USA TODAY where he was a senior member of

the team leading the newspaper’s transformation from print to digital. Previously, Scott was a Partner and a Leader of Deloitte’s U.S. Media & Entertainment Practice. He has also been a senior investment banker holding various Managing Director leadership positions at Bank Street Group, BMO Capital Markets, Bear Stearns, and Merrill Lynch.

 

David Berkowitz is Chief Marketing Officer at MRY, a full-service digital creative agency division of Publicis Groupe’s Starcom Mediavest Group. He is responsible for the agency’s brand, communications and media relations. Prior to joining MRY in 2013, he spent seven years leading emerging media at 360i, co-founding its social media practice and running its Startup Outlook initiative. David has contributed more than 500 columns to outlets such as MediaPost, Ad Age, and VentureBeat, and he has penned his blog MarketersStudio.com since 2005. He has spoken at more than 250 events globally.

 

Jared Feldman is the CEO and Founder of Canvs, the technology platform created to measure and interpret emotions. Canvs provides insight and context around how people feel towards content. Jared has now grown Canvs from a small social media startup to a multimillion dollar company supporting clients like HBO, Viacom, Starcom MediaVest Group, NBC, CAA, UTA, and more. He’s a Social TV thought leader passionate about innovation and continuously pushing the boundaries of social media insight.

 

Welby Chen, Vice President and General Manager North America, Inneractive: Welby leads all revenue and business operations in the U.S. and Canada. He is a seasoned executive with 20 years of experience at companies such as Microsoft, Nokia and US West Communications. Most recently, he spent 4 years at VEVO as one of their early employees and helped build and scale out their award-winning sales organization. Prior to that, Welby spent 8 years at Microsoft in support, product and management roles across the IT, Office and MSN business units.

 

Andy Marks is an accomplished business and creative executive, entrepreneur, investor, and leader in branded entertainment and content marketing, helping marketers and content creators find the common ground that leads to great brand storytelling. He is President of Marks Entertainment + Media, an independent consultancy and production company through which he advises clients on a range of issues, and makes strategic investments in companies at the intersection of branding, entertainment, media and technology. Clients include CBS EcoMedia, a division of CBS Corporation, marketing intelligence software company Velocidi, Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video Entertainment, and comedy MCN Above Average.  Andy is also Expert-in-Residence at BRaVe Ventures, a digital media and technology consultancy, incubator and accelerator focused on digital entertainment and Next Generation Television. Prior to founding MEM, Andy was Managing Director and co-head of MATTER, a leading entertainment, sports and experiential marketing agency, and subsidiary of Edelman, the world’s largest Public Relations firm.  He co-founded branded entertainment consultancy MATTER Entertainment LLC, which was acquired by Edelman, and built it into a full service integrated marketing agency operating worldwide. During his tenure at MATTER, Andy developed entertainment marketing strategies, and award winning branded entertainment content for the world’s leading brands including Brita, Clorox, Quaker, Johnson & Johnson, Dove, Pepsi, GlaxoSmithKline, Symantec, Phillips Van Heusen, and Activision.  He placed a number of clients in TV and digital programming partnerships including “The Biggest Loser,” “Top Chef,” “Project Runway,” “Cake Boss,” “The Doctors,” “The X Factor,” and “Cybergeddon” from “CSI” creator Anthony Zuiker.  He has worked with best-in-class TV, film, music, and digital partners such as NBCU, CBS, Broadway Video Entertainment, Sundance Channel, Scripps, Bravo, Knitting Factory Entertainment, Live Nation, Billboard, Shine, Magical Elves, FunnyorDie.com, Yahoo!, Sundance Film Festival, and the Tribeca Institute.  Before co-founding MATTER, Andy served as EVP of brand partnerships at Hypnotic, a multi-media production company backed by Universal Pictures, and home to director Doug Liman (“Bourne Identity,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”).  There he launched pioneering branded entertainment programs such as Reebok’s Cannes Gold Lion award-winning “Terry Tate, Office Linebacker,” and the “Chrysler Million Dollar Film Festival.”  Prior to that he was Director of Sales and Sponsorships at the Hollywood Stock Exchange. He is a sought after speaker at such industry forums as NATPE, Digital Hollywood, Videonomics Summit, Streaming Media East, and Advertising Week, is a frequent contributor to TV industry blog TV(R)EV and is a member of the board of advisors for the Hollywood Advertising Upfronts.    He holds a B.A. from Colgate University and resides in New York City with wife Nanette and their two children.

 

Kevin Del Rosario is Associate Director of Social at Huge’s office in Brooklyn. His experience in digital media involves building social strategies that help companies develop who they are, find their audience, and create the most effective ways to reach them. Previously, Kevin was Senior Social Media Strategist at Razorfish and Senior Community Manager at IPG Mediabrands. Kevin has managed social media programs across an array of global brands including Mercedes-Benz, Kohl’s, and Microsoft, providing strategy development, campaign strategy, and community development. Most recently, his work involved helping brands amplify user experiences by bringing social components to real-life activations. Kevin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration; Marketing, Human Resource Management from Gonzaga University.

 

EVAN FLEISCHER, Executive Vice President of Brand Partnerships and Business Development, Believe Entertainment Group: Fleischer is executive vice president of brand partnerships and business development for Believe Entertainment Group, where he leads the New York City-based digital entertainment company’s key brand partnerships and distribution execution, developing new ways for brands to leverage the company’s content and media platforms. Among the blue-chip brands and distributors Believe Entertainment Group has worked with are Campbell’s, Progressive, Intel, Sprite, Nike, U.S. Army, YouTube, Hulu, Twitter and Xbox. Fleischer’s strategic thinking and industry perspectives enable him to leverage Believe Entertainment Group’s premium content - including original shows with LeBron James, DJ/producer Tiësto, comedian/actor Jay Mohr, actress Tia Mowry, and HGTV’s Sabrina Soto - and distribution platforms to benefit the company’s brand partners. Fleischer was formerly VP of integrated marketing and branded entertainment for SundanceTV, where he was responsible for creating dynamic, multi-platform sponsor partnerships and ad sales opportunities for the network; before that, he served as senior partner at MEC Entertainment, developing and producing original TV series, digital media, films and more. Previously, he was VP of marketing and promotions at IFC where he conceived, developed and launched the IFC Media Lab, a digital portal for cultivating the best in user-generated independent film. Additionally, he was VP of branded entertainment at Heavy.com and director of ad trade marketing at Fuse TV. Among the premium brands he has partnered with are Jaguar, Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, Diageo, BMW, Canon, AT&T, Subaru, Hyundai, Experian, Chase, AT&T, IKEA, Citi,Colgate-Palmolive, Hill's and Campbell's. Fleischer is based in NYC.

 

David E. Leibowitz is Managing Partner of CH POTOMAC, working at the intersection of entertainment, media and technology and focused on bringing new innovative ways for people to enjoy and experience content.  David brings many years of experience in business, law and policy issues facing the entertainment, new media, CE and IT industries.  Among other activities, David is a Senior Advisor to Gibson Brands (parent company of such iconic brands as Gibson Guitar, Baldwin, Onkyo, Philips Home Entertainment and TEAC); Co-founder and Chairman of Sir Groovy (an award-winning solution for creating enhanced search metadata for musical recordings); Co-Chairman of Golden Shores Enterprises (a marketing and advertising technology firm that utilizes point of sale consumer data to deliver hyper-local digital advertising and lifestyle content across multiple digital platforms); and Chairman of Moonrider (an interactive advertising and content generation company whose platform is used to create engaging “magnetic” HTML5 and iOS experiences for tablets, smartphones, and other interactive devices).  David also serves as a member of the CEO Advisory Board of The Silverfern Group (a merchant bank specializing in buy-side M&A opportunities) and as Chairman of the Advisory Board of FIGHTER Interactive (a transmedia strategy and marketing services company for celebrities and brands).  In recent years, David has served as an Advisor to The SingTel Group (Asia’s leading provider of telecom, data and media services in 25 countries); as a Senior Advisor to Motorola Mobility; as Chairman of EZMO (one of the early cloud-based music social network and storage locker services operating in Europe); as Executive Vice President of Gotuit Media (a leading provider of premium metadata based video tools – since acquired by TiVO via Digitalsmiths); and as an Advisor to others in the content and technology industries.  Earlier in his career, David co-founded and served as Chairman and Co-CEO of Verance (the preeminent audio watermark technology provider used by the motion picture, music, CE and IT industries to protect, manage, and monitor the use of audio and audiovisual content); was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the Recording Industry Association of America; was a partner in the Washington, D.C. law firm Wiley & Rein; served as Policy Planning Advisor to the Register of Copyrights for the U.S. Copyright Office; and as an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami Law School, and at the Communications Law Institute of the Columbus School of Law (Catholic University).
