Jennifer Dorian, General Manager , Turner Classic Movies and FilmStruck: Jennifer Dorian serves as general manager for Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and Filmstruck. In this capacity, Dorian oversees the day-to-day operations of TCM and FilmStruck including all strategy, business development, marketing, branding, digital initiatives, programming and on-air campaigns for both brands. Dorian is based in Atlanta and reports to Coleman Breland, President of Turner Content Distribution & President of Turner Classic Movies.  : In her role, Dorian is charged with growing and developing the TCM brand by implementing strategic, innovative and revenue-generating business initiatives that secure the network as a preeminent lifestyle brand. Dorian’s oversight includes implementation of dynamic and immersive brand extensions such as TCM Classic Film Festival and the TCM Classic Cruise, growing cross-platform digital opportunities, spearheading revenue-generating initiatives through the networks' online storefronts and e-commerce, and enhancing TCM's value to its affiliate partners as well as cultivating its passionate fan base. Additionally, Dorian led the ideation, planning and execution of FilmStruck, Turner’s first subscription video on-demand (SVOD) service launched in the U.S., and has oversight of the strategic planning, marketing and day-to-day operations for subscriber growth and retention.  Dorian previously served as chief strategy officer for Turner Entertainment Networks, overseeing strategic business planning and brand identity development and image marketing for TBS, TNT, truTV and TCM. Since joining Turner Broadcasting in 2000, Dorian has led the development of the TNT drama brand, which helped propel the network to rank as ad-supported cable's #1 network in delivery of key adult demos for six consecutive years. Dorian also oversaw the creation and implementation of the "TBS Very Funny" brand, and her work was recognized by the industry and named into the CTAM Marketing Hall of Fame.  Prior to joining Turner in 2000, Dorian was director of strategic services for sports and leisure marketing at The Coca-Cola Co., based in Atlanta. In that capacity, Dorian oversaw a portfolio of U.S. sponsorships, assessing proposals and evaluating brand alignment and potential returns on investments. Previously, Dorian was manager of kids marketing for Pizza Hut, Inc., a division of PepsiCo. She joined the company as assistant manager of new product development. Dorian also served as director of marketing for InfoVentures of Atlanta, a partnership of Cox Enterprises and the former BellSouth. Dorian holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Texas and a bachelor's degree from Emory University. She currently serves on the board of the Atlanta Beltline Partnership and the Path Foundation.  She previously served on the marketing committee for US Fund for Unicef and the board of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.  She has been recognized by Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) with the Horizon Award as well as one of their Woman to Watch. She was also named as one of Brand Week Magazine’s “Brand Builders”.  FilmStruck is a new subscription on-demand service that offers film aficionados a comprehensive library of films including an eclectic mix of contemporary and classic art house, indie, foreign and cult films. Developed and managed by Turner Classic Movies (TCM) in collaboration with the Criterion Collection, FilmStruck will be the new exclusive streaming home for the critically acclaimed and award-winning Criterion Collection, including the Criterion Channel, a new premium service programmed and curated by the Criterion team.  FilmStruck is Turner’s first domestic direct-to-consumer offering and will launch in the fall of 2016.

 

Amanda Taylor is the CEO and co-founder of DanceOn, the number one digital media company and network celebrating music and dance in pop culture. She worked in various capacities (Marketing, General Management, Associate Producing) for Richard Frankel Productions (producers of Stomp, Hairspray, The Producers). Amanda graduated magna cum laude from Elon University with a degree in Music Theatre.

 

Anthony Layser, Head of US Content Development, Dailymotion: Anthony currently serves as North American Content Director at Dailymotion. His role involves implementing video content development strategies and leading partner acquisition efforts. He oversees content managers in New York City, Santa Monica and Toronto, providing creative leadership and acting as a liaison between content programmers, executives and the sales team. During his tenure, Dailymotion’s US audience has grown over 500% (per Google Analytics). Prior to that, Anthony oversaw production on over 500 episodes of the award-winning AOL-Huffington Post daily series, You’ve Got. In this role, he guided booking, creation, development, production, distribution, and social media promotion the series. You’ve Got segment views increased from an average of 10 million streams per month to 15 million streams per month during his tenure, and You’ve Got videos consistently ranked in the daily top five most-viewed videos on the AOL-Huffington Post network. While under Anthony’s leadership, You’ve Got received a Silver Telly Award in the Social Issues category (Silver is the highest honor). Prior to You’ve Got, Anthony developed the video content strategy for both the men’s and women’s lifestyle networks at AOL. While with the women’s lifestyle group, StyleList.com views increased by at least 500K streams per month and KitchenDaily.com views increased by at least 150K streams per month. While overseeing video strategy for the men’s lifestyle group, video views went from 70,000 views per month to over 2.6 million views per month on a fixed budget over a 13-month period. During this same period, Anthony produced over 300 videos, including segments that featured top-notch comedy talent, including Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Jon Glaser, Chris Gethard, and Matt Walsh.

Michael Wayne, CEO, Kin Community: Wayne founded Kin Community in 2007 and has grown the business into a global digital media company that entertains and inspires women around the world through home-focused content and community. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University, USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism and UCLA’s Anderson School of Business. He has been featured in numerous publications, including Business Week, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Before founding Kin Community, Wayne served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Sony Pictures. Prior to joining Sony, Wayne served as Vice President, Business Development for Launch Media where he was part of the core team that grew the online music media company from start-up through IPO and ultimately to its acquisition by Yahoo! Prior to Launch Media, Wayne was a Marketing Manager for The ABC Television Network. He began his career as an entrepreneur in Prague, Czech Republic, where he founded Velvet Magazine, the first English-language city magazine in Central and Eastern Europe. Wayne earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of the South, Sewanee, TN. He’s a board member of the Los Angeles chapter of Girls Inc., a non-profit organization that provides more than 140,000 girls across the U.S. and Canada with life-changing experiences and solutions to the unique challenges girls face.

 

James Creech is the Co-Founder and CEO of Paladin Software, the premier technology platform for MCNs and next-generation media companies. Paladin’s customers span 5 continents and represent more than 200,000 content creators responsible for a collective 15 billion monthly views. Prior to Paladin, James served as SVP, Growth for Bent Pixels, a top 25 MCN and global media company, and VP, Operations at Channel Factory, where he helped grow the video adtech startup from zero to eight-figure revenues. James is also the creator of All Things Video, the first podcast dedicated to the online video ecosystem.  He graduated magna cum laude from USC with a B.S. in Business Administration, a B.A. in Political Science, and a minor in Film Production.

 

Michael Alexander, Strategy & Growth Initiatives, IBM Global Telecommunications Industry: Michael Alexander has more than 30 years of systems development experience in all aspects of the information technology business. Currently, Alexander is global solutions architect for SPST (service provider strategic transformation) in IBM's global telecom solutions. He consults with clients globally as an NGN telco subject matter expert  (SME) and as a technical leader in VoIP solutions. In addition, Alexander is responsible for the development of telco technical NGN and specifically for VoIP solutions developed by IBM for U.S. clients AT&T, BellSouth, Qwest, SBC & Verizon. He was previously  the IT architect profession executive and enterprise architecture practice lead for business innovation services, Australia/New Zealand. Before joining IBM, Alexander was technical partner & chief architect in the solutions integration practice at AT&T Solutions. He was responsible for the development of solution architectures that ensured successful engagements with all clients. Previously, Alexander worked at Unisys for 22 years and was the chief architect for Unisys' global systems integration practice. He has previously spoken on digital media topics at TM Forum Americas and TM Forum Nice
